Summary

The State University of New York’s (SUNY) management plan achieves $50 million in General Fund savings and $100 million in non-General Fund spending restraint. The University will meet these targets through various actions such as soft and hard hiring freezes, energy conservation efforts, closer scrutiny of travel expenses and the delay or reduction of planned vehicle and equipment purchases. SUNY will achieve a portion of its non-General Fund spending reduction target by streamlining how funds are administered for training programs that the University conducts for other State agencies.
