Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs achieves its savings target by implementing a hiring freeze on certain administrative positions and limiting the filling of all vacancies to only essential positions. Additionally, the Division will offset state spending by aggressively pursuing additional federal funding in support of the Bureau of Veterans Education.
