Budget Highlights
The Green Thumb Program provides income-eligible elderly citizens with part-time employment in State agencies through the not-for-profit organization Green Thumb Environmental Beautification, Inc. The FY 2017 Executive Budget recommends a General Fund appropriation of approximately $3.18 million, a $46,000 increase from FY 2016 resulting from an increase in the State’s minimum wage.
